I dont have office starter but i know i used it before
Did not work. microsoft messed it up with regular update then ased me to subscribe to office worst under handed business and will not purchase anything frm them again. microsoft office student came free with my computer, now they ruined it.

The solution that works is to make sure the service is running that initiates Office Starter. Click Windows Start Icon, lower left corner of screen and type "services" and press Enter. Look for the "Microsoft Software Shadow Copy" service and click Start under Action or click the appropriate icon to start service. It should work after that. If not then go to the uninstall/install option. But always check to make sure the appropriate service is running. It's that simple. Be careful not to start and stop other programs just to see what happens because you can really mess up your machine. Keep it simple.

I followed these steps. Uninstalled. When opening micro starter, it doesn't give me a Use or Try option. Only Activate or Purchase….. How do I reinstall the starter program? I've been told that the pre-installed program doesn't come with a product key so what is the next step? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

How do we restore the computer if the folder is missing. I deleted it because the office trial expired and I had a student account, and I had trouble for hours trying to actived it. So I deleted the word and all the office folders

My HW computer came with Microsoft Office 2010 installed, and I have been using Microsoft Office Starter, but I recently received an error message telling me it was no longer working. Since I had the Microsoft Office Manager folder, I uninstalled Microsoft Office Starter, but when I then click on Microsoft Office 2010 I am not given the options "activate' "purchase" or "use", but only "activate" "purchase" or "try free for a limited time". How can I reactivate my Microsoft Office Starter via my Microsoft Office 2010 package that I have pre-installed?
