  1. @hardwareunboxed should you retest this now with radeon gpus to compare the 1600 to the 7600….. just curious considering the lastest findings of nvidia vs radeon gpus on cpu fps

  2. Just upgraded from a 7600k to a 3700x. Well i bought the parts, still waiting for them. Really notice the cpu slowing games down

  3. Hey Steven can you do some testing on League of Legends, note they have a DX11 beta out which u can opt into but inserting a line in the game.cfg file… Loads of gamers are confused about FPS, it looks like the game went through a change, i used to get +350 FPS on i5 4690k, avg is about 110. its still design for dual core…

  4. Question:

I have an i5-7600K. It has been very reliable. I run an elderly GTX 960 4gb GPU. I mainly have played a few perennial titles for the last several years: World of Warcraft, Civ 5 and 6, CK 2, HoI4, SWTOR, a little bit of EVE Online. Most recent game I probably played was Shadows of Mordor, and I had no graphical issues at all, though I didn't bother with the graphics settings. I would say my goal is 1080p with 60 fps on incoming titles and a thought of pushing 1440 on older titles.

I am considering going up to a new GPU, probably a 1660S or 2060S. In my research, I stumbled upon several websites that argued that my CPU and motherboard (MSI z270) were very limiting and and would not even support the 1660S, much less the 2060S. I was looking at 15-25% bottlenecking.

But, one of my good friends said that the websites were a load of bull, that bottlenecking is not a serious concern, and that even if it did bottleneck, it would be barely noticable, like 84 frames instead of 120 frames or something.

I admit I'm very green on this topic, but is there merit to either argument?

  5. It's the 4 core 4 threads that is leading to stutters. It seems like a 6700k with 4 core 8 thead will still be fine for a few yrs even with new gen console using 6 core 12 threads? Realistically speaking will it be at least 2 yrs before game devs use 6 cores?

  6. I think it's pretty funny that it took almost 8 minutes to get to the gaming benchmarks of a gaming processor. The 7600k is a [GAMING] CPU, it was designed to play games that were out at the time of its release at high frame rates, which it STILL does better than almost any AMD processor ever made in most cases. All of these other BS benchmarks are irrelevant to me.

  7. I always get the feeling i was THE only one who bought an 8600k, because there is always a 7600k and a 9600k in these charts, and of COURSE the 8700k, which seems to have been the ONLY 8th gen intel cpu anyone bought. Seriously, is the 9100F or the 3400G really that much more interesting than an 8600k? It seems fucking impossible to get numbers for my cpu compared to newer ones.

  8. Thnks steve, quality content as usual, though i would suggest (if u re gonna do these old cpu comparaisons) to add ubisoft games to the games tested, anything from watch dogs 2 to recent assassin's cree titles have mind boggling cpu usage and quad cores aint gonna cut it for them anymore.

  9. Nottt again the same games tested man do u buy any games man ur a channel that only test gaming pc and u cant get any new games that ppl play i mean most of them are free to play just take a few hours and download them lol

  10. I am proud owner of 2700x. I was not happy with first gen ryzen so i waited for a bit more polished experience. As soon as it came out in my country, got it for 370 euros. Worked like a charm, especially since i do a bit of video editing. To bad AMD GPUs still suck though. I really hopped Vega would be good and it failed hard. As for Navi, i knew it would be just as bad. I am really hoping AMD push their GPU sector as they did with CPU. I am hoping their work on console GPUs will help them improve their architecture, but to be honest, i dont have high hopes. Its a shame we have to sell kidney for a decent nvidia GPU.

  11. AMD sucks! Intel sucks! At one point, this already annoying AMD biased storm of internet influencers and lobbyists, will turn around and bite them from the back. 🙂 I was an AMD user for over 10 years. Now I use Intel and the next build it will be Intel as well just because I get very annoyed by this continuous, aggressive, disproportionate campaign. It is like is no tomorrow, or like AMD is the best treatment for coronavirus. Wake up, people! AMD is just another corporation that wants your money. Same as Intel. Always we run for the latest, the fastest, the richer in cores and threads and whatever…and we forget that for a damn game most of the time we do not need all this performance because the gamers who want to perform in games, (except the streamers), most of the times, set all the settings to low or medium. AMD is not a midget who if fighting with a MMA fighter. It is just another big corporation that wants a bigger slice of pie. Do you ever see these streamers talking about other cpu producers? No? You know why? Because is no money into it. AMD and INTEL are killing smaller producers. They kill the competition while is small and weak. It is the same as Microsoft and Apple. Control the market. Kill everybody else while they cannot fight. Keep a big fake buzz around a so-called competition between AMD and Intel while they kill, buy, and destroy smaller companies.

  12. I have the i5-7600K and I can confirm that it does at times stutter. Looking forward for a Ryzen upgrade but I'm torn between getting a Ryzen 3700X now or waiting for the 4th gen Ryzen which is rumored to be released around September this year.

  13. I owned a 7600k, even at 5.1ghz I still had to upgrade a year later, I needed the cores(and threads). (Yeah I had won the silicon lottery on that, I even had it boot at 5.2ghz on a hyper 212 evo, de-lided of course)
