I am planning to buy a 128GB variant (iPad Pro). I'll be more focused on gaming and streaming videos. Apart from that I take photos and videos for my Instagram account (I do need editing apps and illustration app like procreate too).

I upgraded from the iPad Air 2 128GB to the iPad Air 4 256GB. The reason why I chose the iPad Air over the Pro is the question I had to ask myself, do I really need the bells & Whistles of the iPad Pro or do I need to Focus more on more storage needs and not have all of those bells & whistles??

So I’m about to cancel delivery on my Amazon order for the 2021 iPad Pro 128 and go with the 256. I’m currently on an iPad Air 2 32 GB and I barely used up half of my storage but I only really use it for YT viewing in bed but wonder if I should future proof myself in case I wanna do a bit more.
My question is are there some cool iPad Pro apps that require more space and system files and updates that will require me to have 128 gb minimum without too much room for storing some 4K videos, some photos and maybe some movies and music if I don’t just stream them all? These things are expensive but I feel like w 256 I’ll ensure I never run out of space but since I never had an iPad Pro I can’t figure out if 128 GB is enough even tho it probably is… jeez what a maddening conundrum.?

pro 128 is good for artists also readers like me which air 256 wont have the same art performance maybe..? also its more expensive (air 256)than pro128

I’m waiting for my iPad air 4 to arrive as I watch this. I’m late to the game but I’m excited. I’m a photographer and I’m going to be editing a lot of photos so I opted for the 256. I also got the magic keyboard on sale on Amazon, and I’m saving up for the pencil, which I’ll get in a few weeks. I’m really really excited, this will be my first iPad in a long time

The 120hz alone makes it worth it for multimedia consumption or productivity, not to mention the speakers and mic, video calls. Its literally the best tablet in the market for a few hundred more.
Ipad air4 is suitable if you only need a tablet as an accessory or for students.

My take: I don't care about the 120 hz or the quad speakers so that did not factor in my decision. In the Philippines the 128gb Pro is $100 more than the 256gb Air. My choice was for the newer processor with double storage, over the older processor with more cores more RAM,and half the storage. For me storage is the biggest point. I've never had a problem with ram but I have run out of storage on several different devices. I hate storage anxiety.

Now that external ssd drives are quite fast, can you completely install and run Lumafusion on the external drive (ie app+data). The problem I have in deciding is that these apps need alot of space as a "Working directory" which has to be under the folder where the app is.
1. In India no one giving iPad Pro 2020-128gb on discount.
2. Ur assumption makes things worse here.
3. Students don’t rely on iCloud, they rather prefer ssd n hdd.
4. March iPad Pro 2021 update is close by, so this video is tricky till that time.
