you may want to turn the psu over so that its fan faces the video card, or you may get more noise.
Can 500w psu make it work?
I wanted to tell you my unique setup. Mine came with the i5-8400. I have 32gb of HyperX Fury ram, Crucial P5 500gb M.2 NVME, and my old PNY 500gb SATA SSD mounted. (no more HDD!) This is where I went a little different. I mounted (2) 80mm exhaust fans in the grills out the back. I used molex for power, more on that soon. I installed my Zotac GTX 1070 Mini which fits great. Next, the fun part. A Corsair CX550M PSU. Of course the fan is covered up by the bottom of the case…not to worry. I drilled out a bunch of holes for exhaust in the bottom . I stuck some small appliance bottom protectors to raise it a little higher. Lastly I wanted a third fan for intake on the side grill area. After screwing in the fan and powering with molex, the case would not go on. So I decided to mount the intake fan on the outside! The cable runs around the side and in the back. It looks a little funny but it works!
Must over heat blocking intake with cables.
