That's strange my note 20 ultra fingerprint works great however I use my thumb. I'd recommend reconfiguring

I have an Exynos version of note 20 ultra everything is perfect even now after an year except the battery life which is terrible I say. I hardly get 4 HR sot. I need to charge atleast twice a day.
If the note series is discontinued… it will be disappointing… there is nothing like it .. having the stylus integrated in the phone…the thought of carrying the s pen all the time is just plain stupid….Will definitely ditch samsung ( coming from a long time note user) .. can’t wait for pixel 6
Being a note 20 ultra user I love being able to pay with my phone. I don't know why samsung puts features on the note series and then does away with them. I still miss my IR blaster. Great review.
Great review, thanks! Tho I would question 1.5 days battery life. I know at least 5 people who even on battery-saving mode must charge it at the end of the day. Note series is known for productivity, so it would be amazing to get a work/productivity review. For example using Note20 Ultra as a laptop replacement, Dex, coding, video editing, using enterprise PaaS/SaaS.

Had a Note 20 Ultra and that plastic Galaxy Watch 3 for about a month last year, then went back to the iPhone 12 Pro Max and Apple Watch. I have always loved Samsung Galaxy phones. I had all of the Galaxy S flagships, and all of the Galaxy Notes up to the one with the exploding batteries. But the security features of iPhone and iOS just makes for a deeper experience for me. I just felt like using Samsung or Google Pay was more of a risk and less secure than Apple Pay, so I just didn’t use them. I was looking at the Galaxy Fold 3, and that’s how I got here.
Thinking about picking up a used Note 20 Ultra. But, I just don’t think it can ever be my daily driver. It’s like…I just wish I could install iOS on it…and pair it with my Apple Watch. The fingerprint scanner and crappy Face detection on the Note 20 Ultra when I had it was just frustrating. With an Apple Watch, Apple addressed the face unlock during COVID thing. Not to mention simple things like iMessage…like simply being able to “like” a text message with a thumbs up. I’m using a iPad Pro 12.9 on a daily basis for work and play. That’s not going to change. Android and Samsung just never became musician friendly…couldn’t solve the latency issues or attract developers. That’s another head scratcher.
So, to make a long story short. I’ll probably pick up another one of these, but just to play with.
My note 20 ultra is the best phone I've had so far. Gonna keep it for a long time. Works amazing in every way
And the fact that the SD card capacity can go to 1TB is huge

Yes there really is only one proper galaxy note , and sadly i think the Samsung's Ceo wants to kill the conventional galaxy note entirely , at least from the way he responded when quizzed about the note 22 , that is the way I read him .
All the other galaxy devices that maybe now be able to use the S pen (folds included) are just pretenders , and you couldn't pay me to own a fold , I think they are less than good.
You pretty much said everything I wanted to say. The Note20 Ultra is still my favorite phone and I too will hold on to it dearly. I'm a minimalist.. being able to store the stylist into the phone after signing a document is a must have. As you mentioned I take so much video and photo that having a SDcard slot is a must have.
Still using my Note 10+, this phone will be with me for awhile, never had a phone that's felt so future proofed.

Great content. I've had mine note10+ for over 20 months and it still runs like a beast, especially with all the software updates. I'm holding on to it until the note22 ultra comes out next year. And if there isn't one them I'll trade it in for the note20 ultra.

I have both the Note10+ and the Z Fold 2. Although the Z Fold is my main phone and it's the only one that I have serviced, I will take the Note10+ any day over the Z. The Note series is my favorite phone series. I've owned the Note 2, Note 3, Note 5, Note 8 and now the Note10+ and I will be devastated if the Note series is discontinued.
Walmart and homedepot around me stopped accepting MST, so I stopped using it.

Register your fingerprint twice for the same finger to improve the accuracy. It is way faster and more accurate than just having it registered once.
I went back and forth about upgrading from my Note 20 Ultra to the Fold 3, but I decided to keep my Note for quite a few reasons. Sd card slot, Samsung Pay, and the S pen functionality. Sure all the phones this have S pen support but it's just different with the Note in my opinion. I'm going to hold onto the Note 20 Ultra for awhile
I'm still holding on desperately to my Note 8 despite a few cracks. The lack of a camera bump and the headphone jack make it feel like the end of an era but it still holds up. So with the news of no Note this year and maybe none next year either, I'm giving the Note 20 a look. What I really wish is that I could just get the Note 8 again with modern durability, speed and OS improvements.

I bought mine last October/November time frame! I love this phone! Battery life is a little weak because I have to charge mine everyday but I'm a heavy user and also have many apps that work in the background. Other than that Great Phone! I don't know how Samsung can top it… but we'll have to wait and see!!
