I grabbed one of these PC's for $175 with 8gb ram and a 256gb ssd on boxing day. Grabbed a gtx1050ti thinking it would run off the stock PSU. No the gtx1050ti requires a 6 pin power in. So I ordered a psu and the adapter. Going to do do pretty much exactly what this video did. Even ordered the same brand of power supply. Hoping it works without any more headaches. All said and done I'm in to the machine now for $400 cad. $100 more than I wanted to spend.

MXKDi, I have games crashing now. They run fine without my GPU in. Zotac GTX 1650 LP . I have updated everything I think I can. Other than the GPU being bad, I am lost. Some games play fine. The ones that crash within 10 seconds are. Path of Exile, Star Trek Online, new Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War beta. HELP!

The 24 pin to 8 pin adapters that convert 5v to 12v have been known to fry motherboards. Check out Amazon reviews. I recommend you stick with the proprietary Dell power supply. Or at least take the shrink wrap off the adapter and make sure the wires on the circuit board are not reversed. Black to Black ("ground" marked on circuit board) and Blue to Blue. I have read accounts that even when there is no wiring error, there are cases where the adapter still damaged the motherboard.

The CPU cooler is my first thing I want to upgrade. Thanks so much. I literally took my i7-4790, crucial ballistix vlp ram, ssd, hdd, gtx 1650, and moved them all into the T1700 today!
This internal layout is infuriating. the drive bay doesn't have to be right in the way of extended graphics cards, it could just as easily be up higher and out of the way.
