Keep in mind the 5510 is based off the XPS design, and as such, suffers from the XPS poor thermal design and lack of ports, like no Ethernet. Dell has a KB on this, link below.
Here's the killer part: "If you require something that can sit with sustained heavy CPU and GPU loads, then you may want to look at a more specialised workstation from our Precision range." Then…
"Note: Please be aware this article also applies to the Precision 5510 and 5520 Mobile Workstations. These systems share design features and components with the XPS 9550 and 9560 Mobile systems and behave in the same manner."

How come MSI seems to be only one selling Pascal Mobile Quadros?
Did you customize yours or was it one of the base models?
Of course it's an XPS however the XPS does not have a dock port, Xeon or other workstation parts. Why not use the same chassis? It works great so why design another one?
How do you install games if there is no cd drive?

Approaching the 1-year mark on my 5510. Some radio trouble, but Dell has been diligent with customer support. I really do get 6 hours of moderate battery use (i.e. not hi-def photo-real rendering or FEA). It's like my dream car, a normal-looking XPS 15 on the outside, some relatively mind-blowing power on the inside.

good honest video. I am not personally a fan of the Precision 5510 (or the HP Zbook Studio for that matter), as they dont have the necessary cooling/ventilation to become useful desktop replacements. I could be wrong, but if you ran tests that pushed CPU and GPU combined you are likely to see throttling (down watt power in the CPU for instance). also I always wonder why dell packages the GPU 960M in the XPS 15 and in the same chasis only packages the M1000M in the Precision line (the CUDA cores to CUDA cores equivalent of the 960M would be the M2000M). so I think that unless you need the ISV certification or dedicated support Precision gets, you might be better of with the consumer version XPS 15.
I wouldn't expect or want a laptop with a touchscreen to pass the one finger open test.
