The Kingdom of Thailand is a country at the centre of the Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.

The UK Pound slumped to its weakest level in more than two years last Tuesday. That’s terrible news for Britain. At the Moneycorp exchange at London’s Gatwick Airport, £1 is buying just $1. My heart really goes out to Expats in Thailand who are living on a UK Pension.
Because, The Pound Could Be About to Get Absolutely Hammered… At the time of recording this video, the UK Pound is Buying:
37.4 Thai Baht.
$1.21 USD
$1.76 AUD
And $1.59 Canadian.
The pound has weakened dramatically since Brits voted to leave the European Union in 2016.
After trading near $1.49 ahead of the referendum, it had dropped to $1.20 by January 2017 on fears that former Prime Minister Theresa May would take Britain out of the EU’s huge unified market and customs union. Analysts think the pound could be poised to seriously weaken again… as New Conservative Party Leader, Boris Johnson, continues to press EU officials to renegotiate the Brexit deal agreed by May but soundly rejected by the UK parliament.
\”[Johnson] is committed to a hardline stance towards the EU that will, of course, be rebuffed aggressively,\” Societe Generale strategist Kit Juckes wrote in a note.
\”The pound could reach parity with the dollar following a disorderly Brexit, according to analysts, who predict the currency will grind steadily lower and lower between now and the end of October.\”
Stop and think about that last statement…
It’s an Absolute Nightmare in the Making… If the pound does reach parity with the dollar, it’s going to see the pound buying just 30.77 Baht…
Some Brexit supporters argue that a weaker pound could help the UK economy get back on track if Britain crashes out of the European Union.
A falling pound boosts tourism to the United Kingdom. And helps make exports appear cheaper to overseas buyers, so the argument goes.
And so they reason that the benefits will eventually equal or outweigh the costs.
But there is seriously compelling evidence that a sharp decline in the value of the pound, will in fact, make the United Kingdom far worse off.
\”Depreciations don’t work. They have an economic effect, but they are not a good economic strategy,\” Bank of England Governor Mark Carney told the UK Parliament in 2018. \”It’s how you make yourself poorer.\”
A weaker pound causes inflation to spike because imports are more expensive.
That hurts consumers who could see prices rise more quickly than wages. Plus, Britain imports way than it exports.
A collapsing currency could also frighten away foreign investors and make life difficult for UK companies that have to make payments in dollars.
There has been Very Clear Evidence of this since the referendum was held in June 2016.
The pound has shed 18% against the dollar since the vote, helping to push inflation toward 3% in 2017.
But an anticipated British Export Boom simply DIDN’T Materialize. One reason why is that exporters were contending with more expensive imported raw materials and fuel.
Business groups have long cautioned that a messy Brexit would be a disaster, disrupting the supply chains that run across Europe, and… potentially injecting mass panic into financial markets. UK government estimates show that GDP would shrink by at least 2% by the end of 2020, and the government would be forced to borrow an extra £30 billion ($37.4 billion) per year. UK stock markets would fall 5% and… The Pound Could Lose Another 10% of Its Value. But… and here’s the thing… none of this changes the fact that expat pensioners living in Thailand are seriously hurting due to the weakened pound and the aptly called ‘Mega Baht’
And the 21 Million Dollar Question that many of them are now starting to ask themselves is: \”How much more pressure will it take, until it’s the straw that breaks the camel’s back…?

How to exchange and withdraw Thai Bahts in Thailand? (ATM, cards, fees, currency exchanges)
Don’t be lazy and check 34 currency exchanges, because there might be huge difference between the exchange rates and fees they are offering.
To withdraw money from your credit card in Thailand might be expensive and consists of 3 parts: fixed fee for local ATM, your card’s fixed fee and your card’s % from the amount.
Tips:
1) For daily goods in shopping centers you can pay with your credit/debit card;
2) For cash is better to exchange in currency exchanges, just find the best currency exchange first;
3) Withdraw from ATMs only when you need more money or you don’t have US dollars or other foreign currency with you.
