First Impressions of Lampang – UNSEEN parts of Thailand

We finally arrived in Lampang Province just 2 hours away from Chiang Mai. We last left you at the train station where we take a 2nd class coach that costs only $1.50!
In this video we show our first impressions of this quirky city that had a certain energy and vibe to it! Cobblestone paving, incredible food and even HORSE CARRIAGES! You must be thinking, wait, what?! Yup, horse carriages are still used as a mode of transport in this city.
This city seems quite old, filled with loads of temples that were built in the 13th century. We discover loads of incredible sites, shrines and temples situated all over town and even some hidden away in the DEEP jungle!

Thailand’s 2nd Class TRAIN Experience – Chiang Mai to Lampang

We try out what could be the CHEAPEST train ride ever! A 2 hour train ride on a 2nd class coach from Chiang Mai to Lampang that only cost us 50 baht a ticket ($1.50 USD) We were really impressed with Thailand’s railway service and facilities. We know that Thailand provides serious value for money but does it get any better than this! We had super comfortable seats, AC, loads of luggage space, electrical charging ports and a million dollar view!
What surprised us the most was that the seats could be even cheaper if you did not want the AC and preferred the fan.
We are so excited to share our train journey with you and FINALLY explore a different part of Thailand. Get ready for some adventuring!
