once again u have better luck with a FX 8350 than what i had when i tried to game on it years ago! currently i game on a i7 4790k paired with a GTX 1080Ti and it's been givin' me way better performance than a FX 8350
i believe ur FX CPU is magical and i never had dat much luck with it at all so i gave up on FX all together for modern day uses and decide to have it as my Windows XP Retro Gaming PC CPU

I’ve had an 8320e and now an 8350 . I’ve gamed on it for years with no issues no complaints I also have an I7 4770 and yes it is stronger but I still enjoy getting on my am3 board and having some fun. , kinda making me want to do some modifications to that pc now lol.

When they came out the i3 was considered to be the top dog in gaming.
Today Im not even sure if the quadcore can run games like cyberpunk or RDR2.

If I remember correctly Steve had a FX 8370! So may be the FX 8370 is slower than the FX 8350?
4 core in 2017 is top ,now 2021 is 16 core, thanks to AMD.
RA Tech : mate, it's called intentional hampering of the FX systems that these selfproclaimed YouTubers, that you mentioned, do as a default. They have infected minds with natural biasness.
I myself am a user of an FX 8350, 32GB 1866 MH/T ram (which my Asus 990 allows me to run at despite 4 sticks of memory installed), a KFA2 GTX 1080 EXOC 8GB, an SSD and cooled by the original 2015 Wraith cooler. It performed better than my i7 7700 (nonK) occasionally, both at stock clocks, especially in post 2018 games at Ultra 1080p….which I always believed that someday it would. For a 2011 CPU, this was the best CPU purchase I ever made, since it costed 180 EUROS back when it was new.
I've been saying, what you showed in your video, for years….and from bribed forums like GURU3D, I've had disabled accounts because guys like Hilbert didn't wanna hear anything positive or provable about AMD FX processors for years.
Just came across your channel and the whole FX debacle thing. Just wanted to say I also found bulldozer CPUs to be surprisingly more usable than their contemporary Intel counterparts. At the time the AMD Athlon X4 845 was priced similar to the Pentium G3258 and G4400 and it definitely is holding up better these days thanks to having more cores. Vs. the G4560 that has the same amount of threads though…it does lose but its not actually a big margin considering in the used market the 845 can be found for less than 1/2 the G4560 and not to mention cheap motherboards.

I still use my old 2013 laptop dell E6540, yes is an intel i7 quadcore haswell processor. The point on futureproofing of old hardware is true if you have at least 4core 8threads. Just like fx 8 core it has 4module with 2 core each module (8total). With newer scheduler like win 11 fx proccesor should perform better. Of course you need tpm 2.0 onchip or motherboard to install win 11. I tried it on my old 2013 laptop and fine, with regisry edit during installing windows 11.
Trust me we know something's not right. JIm from AdoredTV I believe found why.
I believe Steve from HWU was defensive after Adoretv questioned the tech press testing methodology and assumptions in his March 2017 with his Video "The Tech Press loses the Plot" and people spammed the link to him and other reviewers. I remember Steve commenting in the comment section of one of his video about the Tek Syndicate 2013 video (which showed the FX 8350 beating the i7 3570k especially when streaming) being misleading. Steve and Bitwit questioned JIm at AdoredTV's methodology since Jim, referred to one main site and had none of his own testing.
Also indirectly supporting Jim, Digital Foundry in 2015 showed the FX 8350 holding up quite well against the i5 4690k in their Witcher 3 video. Note I really applaud those who don't just bar graph their results but show as DF pioneered and bang4buckpc, benchmark. testinggames and yourself have since refined. Then DF repeated this in their i7 6600k review as it also included the i5 2500k but a few more games. Both 2500k and 3570k had some worrisome frame times as your watch. Around this time DF I remember highlighting the issue of NPC's in crowded areas really having an effect on FPS.
So why ? Well people resist change and hate having their past questioned as well on youtube want to put on a show. Steve is known for being a Benchmarking beast 20 plus games in various resolutions. Few are those who are truly willing to truly question themselves, their work, results, biases in the pursuit of truth. In science it's good practice to try to disprove your theories so as to properly prove and validate them. Also why you got criticised rather then people trying understand or further test your concepts. Expand or exploring them.
