Business as usual is dead. Increasingly, science fiction is becoming science fact. Exponential technologies are rapidly changing our lives and societies, every day, everywhere. We will need different skills, and we will need to get much better at driving change or we will be driven by it. Most importantly, we should embrace technology but not become it. Anything that can be digitized or automated, will be and anything that cannot be digitized or automated will become extremely valuable. Lastly, we must go beyond technology to define real human values in this new digital ecosystem.

Masterclass on \”Leading in Disruptive Times: Navigating the Organizational Challenges of VUCADriven COVID19 and Digital Transformation\”
When an innovation creates a new market or value that disrupts an existing market, it is known as \”Disruptive Innovation.\” It is a process where an underrated product or service starts to grow in popularity, displace and eventually replace an established player or market leader. The term \”Disruptive Innovation\” was coined by the late Harvard Business School (HBS) Professor Clayton Christensen, who describes it \”a process by which a product or service takes root initially in simple applications at the bottom of a market and then relentlessly moves upmarket, eventually displacing established competitors\” (Christensen, 1997).
Given how extensive the phrase \”disruptive innovation\” has been invoked for nearly 20 years, Christensen and his coauthors revisit his most famous of innovative ideas in the Harvard Business Review article, \”What Is Disruptive Innovation?\” (Christensen, et al. 2015). They assert that the concept of \”Disruptive Innovation\” has proven to be a powerful way of thinking about innovationdriven growth.
The Masterclass will including the latest developments and case studies of successful digital transformation journey of agile organizations in an environment characterized by rapid and continual disruption, organizations which are found in the recently published book ‘Leadership in Disruptive Times’ by Business Expert Press LLC (BEP) in New York, NY.
The case studies include organizations such as DBS Bank, Starbucks, Microsoft, Netflix, Uber \u0026 Grab and how they foster a \”digitalready\” organizational culture that embraces – rather than resists – continuous change and where the leaders can make decisions faster and lead change efficiently, while skilfully influencing in a more interconnected, collaborative landscape.
Building on cuttingedge research, the Facilitator will review best practice approaches for the participants to develop their ability to drive faster decisionmaking, accelerate change processes, and cut through difficult cultural challenges. It will provide the participants with a set of concepts and tools, enabling them to lead their organization with impact and efficiency – maximizing its performance in today’s disruptive events and crises as well as that in the future.
This intensive 2day executive leadership training program combines proveninaction techniques with peer interaction and insights from the latest research to help the participants to master the competency of disruptive digital leadership.
This highly interactive and experiential learning session will involve the participants as an active learner by including activities and exercises that highlight basic concepts.
It will also provide them with guidance on the actions required in specific situations through the use of relevant examples that are specific, relevant and meaningful to each participant.

So what does the acronym VUCA stand for? V U C A. Volatile. Uncertain. Complex. Ambiguous. Some people think VUCA is only used to describe “dark clouds on the horizon” scenarios, but it is far broader than that. It can be “positive” as well as “negative”.
The meaning of VUCA becomes a lot clearer if you contrast it with its opposites. Volatile versus stable. Uncertain versus predictable and certain. Complex versus simple and linear. Ambiguous versus clear. Some situations in life are on the VUCA side, others are on the nonVUCA side. The tragedy is to mistake one for the other!
