By the way, I accidentally called it the "Dell G7 7579" in the video, so I just wanted to point out my mistake haha.
I own this laptop. Got it back in 2019. And like…..I would say for gaming it's not that great.
It really only works well when the adapter is plugged in and when it's in I say you have about an hour of gaming depending on the game before you might want to unplug etc. because of how hot it gets. Sheesh.
Was tryna play Journey and damn it moves really bad even tho the "specs" required to play the game are significantly lower than the optimal specs I have on my laptop. Maybe games from 2010 and prior or games like Cattails are really all that "should" be played on this laptop.
How is performance in cod war zone so high? I have the same laptop but I struggle to even get 40 fps
You can upgrade the screen in the laptop to be 120hz.

the temperature of mine is usually 180 or 190 degrees farenheit and the highest it went was 218 degrees
I have a few over-time problems: (between 2-3 years)
– Overheating causing crashes.
– PC has less performance.
– (Many laptop problems) Thermal grease loses effectiveness causing overheating.
The worst part of this laptop is, as listed, PC has less performance. After overtime usage, the laptop starts to run like a GTX 1050 ti – 1050 on Call of Duty Modern warfare. Would need to play lower than 1080p resolution for over 60 fps.
Overall, this pc is good still but it loses it's effectiveness over time. Throttlestop works great to undervolt allowing better performance and less overheating.
I’d like to see you clean it out and reapply the thermal paste got my PC from my brother and I want to make it run and last as good as it can cool video my man

You can upgrade the panel in this laptop super easy to 120Hz. 32GB RAM, SATA SSD and M.2 SSD plus some new thermal paste and you're good to go.

I have the most recent G7 15, i7, 16gb ram, nvidia 2070 rtx max q, with a 4K 60hz refresh display, for anyone looking to get this laptop, it’s a good laptop, but like he said it gets hot, I had an issue with thermal throttling, and I underclocked it and in the alien command center you can change fan speed and max them out, and this cooled it down a lot, I couldn’t play warzone at all because CPU temps were reaching 95° + and thermal throttling, and after wards I can play it with it hovering around 80° now, dropped the temp down about 10-15° for pretty much all games across the board
Dood my G7 8th gen thermal throttles like a bitch, and had to undervolt everything just so I can barely play stuff, still stutters and throttles tho..
We need a thermal paste or pad video plz
