Benedict Cumberbatch, known for his roles as Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Strange, compared the two franchises in a recent interview. The actor believes that Sherlock has had a greater reach than Doctor Strange due to its television format, which allows for more people to see it.

Cumberbatch described Sherlock as a “stink bomb” that surprised everyone involved with its success. However, despite his superhero role, he feels he has yet to surpass the popularity of Sherlock.

Fans have been hopeful for a return of the beloved BBC series, with co-creator Steven Moffat confirming plans for a potential fifth season.
