Hertz is an American car rental company based in Estero, Florida, that operates 10,200 corporate and franchisee locations internationally. And when we got here in the US we want to feel and try to use Dodge Challenger which doesn’t have in the Philippines.
Dodge Challenger/Charger RT/SRT Hellcat or any dodge is my favorite.

I shopped around for car rentals before leaving the United States and there are a lot of options online. I felt more secure using a company that had a presence in the US and after weighing all the options Hertz Car Rental had a deal that appealed to me. They had a couple of standard truck options however I chose an SUV to have a little more comfort. I was a little concerned to be sure to get a full size SUV and not end up with something smaller, like a Honda CRV. Big difference between a CRV and the Toyota Fortuner I had planned on renting. Just like Hertz Thailand’s website said the Toyota Fortuner is what pulled up minutes after I walked away from the rental counter at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The Toyota Fortuner was a great mix of luxury and ruggedness to tackle some of the bumpy and gravel roads you’ll find in Thailand. You’ll see in the video that there are a few times where a Wat or tourist attraction is on an unpaved road and the Fortuner shifted easily into four wheel drive with the turn of a knob on the dashboard. While the Toyota Fortuner felt incredibly sturdy the Bridgestone tires seemed to be a little weak lacking grip around corners and in wet conditions. If I were to buy a Fortuner I would have to replace the Bridgestone Dueler HT tires immediately. Even on the gravel roads the tires were the only weak spot. I do have lots off road experience also, see AllAboutMyJeep.com and the All About My Jeep YouTube Channel. Inside the Toyota Fortuner was plush. Leather seats and leather accents, navigation and radio combination with a large touch screen display that was easy to read. Full radio and navigation controls are in the steering wheel as well which made it easy to make adjustments while driving from Bangkok to Hua Hin. The Power Mode setting changed engine and transmission performance which made passing other cars on the expressways a breeze, plenty of power. There is also a fuel saving feature where the Fortuner will shut off at stoplights and while in heavy traffic saving lots of fuel. I did carry a few passengers at times and everyone had more than enough leg room. The passengers in the back seat also commented on how they had completely separate air conditioning controls for the rear of the Fortuner. Overall the Toyota Fortuner was a fantastic rental vehicle while driving around Thailand. I’ll definitely rent another Fortuner on my next trip. Hertz Thailand was really easy to deal with as well. No hiccups at all. 5 Stars all the way around.
