ขั้นตอนการส่งออกผลิตภัณฑ์สินค้าสำหรับคนไทยมายังสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยเฉพาะกลุ่มที่เป็นสินค้าอาหาร เครื่องดื่ม นั้น จะต้องมีการจดทะเบียนกับ U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ซึ่งเทียบเท่ากับ อ.ย. ของประเทศไทย เพื่อเป็นกฏระเบียบในการตรวจสอบคุณภาพของตัวสินค้า ในกรณีที่สินค้านั้นมีปัญหาอะไรเกินขึ้น ทาง USFDA ก็จะสามารถตรวจสอบย้อนกลับไปดูได้ ว่าสินค้าชนิดนี้มาจากผู้นำเข้ารายใด และมาจากโรงงานผู้ผลิตที่ใดในโลกนี้ ซึ่งเป็นกติกาที่ทางสหรัฐฯได้ใช้กับผู้ผลิตทุกประเทศทั่วโลก โดยสามารถเข้าไปลงทะเบียนได้ที่ www.fda.gov
